The incredible success of 2016’s Train to Busan continues to influence the South Korean film industry, with a number of zombie movies and creature features released since then in the hope of attracting audiences hungry for horror thrills. Lee Min-jae’s The Odd Family: Zombie on Sale sees a faulty diabetes medication trigger a zombie outbreak in a small rural community, but takes its cues from Kim Ji-woon’s The Quiet Family and Jonathan Levine’s Warm Bodies, rather than Yeon Sang-ho’s blockbuster.
