How to follow up Rubber, a movie about a killer tyre who stalks the deserts outside Los Angeles? In my opinion Wrong manages to trump it, by having a plot that’s (marginally) more than a one-joke premise, some great characters and an excellent soundtrack – all courtesy of Quentin Dupieux. When Dolph Springer loses his job, he continues to show up for work, despite the fact the sprinklers never turn off and his colleagues all hate him. But when his dog goes missing, his neighbour leaves town and his not-yet girlfriend sleeps with the gardener by mistake, it looks like he may just lose his mind. Enter Mr. Chang – insanely portrayed by William Fichtner, and a private detective who can tap into the subconscious of two-day old dog poo.
